When using the soldering station for the first time, an SE alert does not indicate a quality defect. The SE means the station fails to detect the soldering tip—simply install the tip correctly to resolve the alert.
For a new tip, coat it fully with solder at low temperature and heat it for 5 minutes before use; this will extend its service life. Try to keep the operating temperature below 380℃. The tip’s point is delicate, making it perfect for soldering micro-joints, so high-temperature use should be avoided as much as possible. For daily work, opt for the durable K-type tip, and be sure to use high-quality flux.
Do not expose the tip to water; clean it only with a copper brush or copper wire. Always keep the tip’s point tinned with solder.
